Line & Base training is a specialized program that teaches technicians the procedures for line and base maintenance. Line maintenance is carried out at the airport, usually between flights, and involves quick inspections and repairs. Base maintenance, on the other hand, is more in-depth maintenance performed in a hangar, which can last for days or weeks and includes complete overhauls of systems and components.
